(Q1)
I chose this work because, by just using found materials in my garage, I was able to create a television set with cardboard boxes, glue, cellotape, glass,an old pair of rabbit ears,my bedside lamp,a couple of card board cut outs and the only thing I needed to purchase was the coloured cellophane. I was really struck with the coloured lighting inside and outside of the t.v set. As for the reflection on the table the process of the surface light, gave it a life of rainbow colour all of its own. With only one light source your eyes are tricked into seeing two spheres of light inside the T.V one could be the Sun and the second Mars, with its red tint. Could I have unwittingly encased a small section of our solar system?
This one stands out for me due to its subject matter, with the Klu Klux Klan members with hooks jabbed into the backs of their heads, but there is no blood also their stature is still erect this shows how they are too Dumb to feel pain and to Dumb to realise the situation they are in.I think the colour of this work does it alot of justice the light blue and the black and white tiles seem to be in harmoney .The word rasicim fascinates me and everything that is associated with it, re the Klan.
The original work was pencil shading on paper, it took a while but it became a work of love. The technique of using the same content over four times and the perspective of different colour variations give this work a real texture, volume and weight.I really appreciate the colours that I made the dark green, the reddish pink, the aqua blue and then the navy blue.In all a complete work.

September 17th, 2009 6: 40 pm ET racism is a word blacks use to get attention when they think their backs are against the wall or not getting their way. just like charles rangel tried to pull last week. or jimmie carter tried a day or two ago petiful people we have. mike, ,tn
I still beleive the racism is alive and well especially in the South – the time has come to abolish it AGAIN!
It never ceases to amaze me how the race relations industry think the answer to racism is to employ a load of black people to enforce racial quotas and set up apartheid segregational nonsense such as ‘black workers groups’.
